Ramen Museum

Ramen from Rishiri Island, Hokkaido.  Rishiri Ramen Miraku

I can finally appreciate the deep, rich flavors of scorched soy sauce on pork, noodles, and Rishiri kelp; It is simply the most exquisite ramen I have eaten.

Kelp and ramen...( think about that).  Kelp is known for reducing hypertension and helping us live longer and healthier.  This is a soy sauce based ramen, so when you order, make sure you press the " special " soy sauce ramen button.   Noodles are medium thick and yellow.  The pork is delish and slow cooked well.  I chose a corner spot so I could go beast mode without scaring the locals.

Thankfully, you do not have to fly all the way to Hokkaido for this; just head on over to the ramen museum at Shin-Yokohama Station.  Entrance is 380 yen at the door, and you purchase ramen tickets from the vending machines next to the ramen shop.  It's in English.
