Good Date Spots: La Cittadella

Prologue to a series:  My new project for the next six months will be branding this site and making it a resource for travelers and researchers on Japan.   Firstly, the internet is flooded with information on life over here.   Many of the sites/blogs explore the dynamics between foreigner and native from a linguistic and cultural stand point. When you first visit Japan, one of...

La Cittadella, the date spot in Kawasaki that's a ten minute walk from JR Kawasaki Station.  Couples come here for everything.   Nice bistros, movie theaters,  boutiques.   The sunday afternoon crowd come to enjoy the flower and soap shops.   Maybe even take in a movie and just hang around.   This is the place.   Come here for the local vibe of Kawasaki.

I'll probably wind up listing a bunch in different posts.  For this post I will only focus on Kawasaki's La Cittadella.    In fact, the first time I even heard or been to this place was on a date with a married lady.   I remember her being around 27ish at the time.     She was hot from the back, decent in the face.  She had a pronounced nose, though....  Sort of stuck out like a beak, but was sort of sexy and a little off putting at the same time.   Her front teeth even protruded from the opening in her lips.    On a scale from one to ten she was a six and a half.

The restaurant we were at was a tiny little bistro at the La Cittadella.   I remember her telling me that this place had great pasta and wine; something many Japanese love nowadays.   She was right, lots of nice little shops round here.   After dinner we enjoyed walking around and taking in the surroundings.   Yes, the night time surroundings are much better than daytime.

Of course there are plenty of ladies and older couples, too.

La Cittadella provides a brief respite from the general noisiness of Kawasaki.   And a great place for coffee and lunch, or even a date.
